Hi,

I noticed that i can wiggle the distributor rather much when I test installed it with my new intake. I can understand why the hole in the intake is much bigger (about 2-3 mm, aprrox 0.10 inch) but I can't the why the hole in the block is "too big". Since one oil galley is passing there I am wondering about how much oil press I loose there. I have tried to prime the pump with a Tavia pump primer and oil is indeed flooding up around the bushing.

What is the idea with this poor tolerance? to me that spells uncontrolled oil leak, possible lower oil pressure, random gear play.

It is a little bit strange that many struggle to keep oil off the crank with windage trays and scrapers but here can oil pour down as it wants!

Some after market distributors have O-ring seals but that requires chamfering of the bore.

Best regards,

MN
