I will also say this: hands down, the Corvette is the better car! If I had ~$40k to spend on a car, and my only choices were a brand new Camaro or a gently used C6, I'd take the C6 without hesitation...

Definitely! I'd even take a C5 over the new Camaro. They just don't do it for me, the Camaro never did, I liked the Trans Am better, the styling was just more aggressive and bold.

I'd even take a 5.0 Mustang over the new Camaro and I'm definitely not into Mustangs.

Well, if one wants a TA bad enough, they can be had. I think it's like $20,000 for the kit.




Personally, if I was to take a Camaro and make a TA out of it, the 77-78 look would not be what I'd go for. The same guy who designed and sells the TA above also designed a 1976 look. I like this a lot better on the Camaro body:

Those Trans Am mods look good! Not saying I'd shell out an extra $20k for them, but they still look good!

Again for the ~$60k invested, I'd buy a gently-used C6 Z06...
