Hi all,

Does anyone know when or if this kit will become available for us F45 guys. I saw the brouchure that was handed out at the 50th and heard Delphi say it will be available in September.

Thanks for your replies.

Steve,

It was great seeing you and your beautiful Corvette today at the Mahwah show.

I look foward to hearing your success about getting the retrofit F55 for your stunning F45 equipped car.

Although I don't believe it would retrofit to my Corvette, I really believe this F55 upgrade would be awesome for the F45 crowd..

Let us know how you make out and maybe Hib will stop in at this post and let us both know of some type of update on this GM marvel.

I think the 3.73 rear gear on your car must be a blast. Congrats on that too..

For those of you that don't know or haven't seen steves car...The detail on the entire car is very impressive.

His engine compartment is truly show worthy and the interior with the heated seats is very cool..

Good to see you today.

Any updates?

Have there been any updates on this possible retrofit option? I have heard nothing since reading a few threads on it a while back. I have the F45 option on my car, which has about 67K miles on it. I would imagine that I'll need to be considering shock replacement in the next couple of years, given the mileage. I would prefer to retrofit with the F55 Magnetic SRC kit if possible. It'll likely cost me at least $1500-$2000 for the F45 shocks anyway, so I'd rather get the latest technology if I can. Anyone heard anything? Hib, weren't you talking about this in the past?

Strong indications it will be available within the next month or so ..but I wouldn't be surprised if it was after the C6 debuts in July/August..

Hi there,
The system is completed and there is a part number for it.
There is no stock in GM at this time, but they are on the way.
Pricing is about $2500-3000. I have a few pics of the ECU, shocks and kit, but they are too large to post here.

JB--

Any reason why you think next month? Is it because of what c4c5 says about it already having a part #, or do you have add'l info?

c4c5--

Do you have any indication on when it will be available? Or what that part # is? I'm not in a hurry, since I believe I can go for probably another year or two (at ~7-8000 miles/year) before having to replace my F45. Actually, I don't really have any idea-- the shocks don't seem to be worn out, so I hope the system is still okay and will be for a while. On a side note, anybody have an idea of the lifespan of the F45 shocks given typical use?

Well, thanks for the info guys. If you learn anything new or have any add'l info or literature on this upgrade, please let us know! c4c5, if you want to email me those pics, I'd be happy to downsample them and post...

Thanks,
Fred

I have based my assumption off the fact the part numbers are now available as c4c5 mentioned.

I would imagine that the Corvette team is busy right now with the C6 launch thats upcoming.

After that I imagine the parts will be more readily available.
