Help! Driver side door handle replacement ???

I need to replace the drivers side (LH) door handle assembly on my 77 L82 vette. The access hole to that area of the door is quite small and the associated rods and levers for the locks and door latch further limit the access by hands or fingers.

Does anyone have some tips or tricks from previous experience for how accomplish this seemingly impossible task ?

Remove the door latch it will give more room to get your hand in there.

Remove the door latch it will give more room to get your hand in there.

That is how I do them too, remove the latch so you can reach up and get the nuts off the handle studs. Clean & lube the latch and adjust the throw on the rod.
