Drivers side=right Passenger side=left

Hi

I totally went blank while filling out an order blank.

Is the driver's side the right or the left when ordering from a catalog??

I had a problem with this one too. I was told that the right/left side of the car is in relation to the driver when he sits in the drivers seat. (drivers side = left, pass side = right)

Will someone "in the know" please confirm this? I'm not sure and I'd hate to spread false info

Yes, the driver's position is considered the "left" part of the car, the passenger's side is the "right."

The Executive Officer of the first ship that I sailed on was a very religious man. At the beginning of each watch he would go to the bow and remove a small piece of paper from his pocket and staring at the heavens recite the words written on that paper.

We all though that that this was a most sincere and needed prayer until the ships Purser found the note in one of the XO´s dirty tunics and shared it with the crew.

The note read:
Port = Left
Starboard = Right
