My luck....While I was changing the drivers side motor mount the hoist broke and the big block fell about 4" ( approx. the thickness of the mount ) on the empty motor mount frame. Looks like most pressure got the exhaust headers but not sure if the front crank pully hit the frame or anything else I missed. What could I be in for (or check for) in the spring when I start it back up???

pttsls5,

Sorry to hear the bad news. I would watch for leaks around the freeze plugs (both sides of the block). It's unlikely, but one could have been jarred loose.

Check for pinched gas line, power steering lines, transmission cooling lines (if automatic), etc.

Good luck. :w

Lucky you weren't hurt! If your harmonic balancer hit the crossmember, it could be damaged but you'll notice it quickly on fireup. Again, glad you weren't hurt.
