Dumb question: front license plate

I put the tag bar on the front of my '64 coupe, but can't see any way to attach the license plate to the bar. Do I need a special bracket, or plate holder, or do I just need to fabricate something?

Yep. You need the bracket assembly. Check out some online vendors for a drawing showing all the parts you need and how it goes together.

didn't know that virginia also required a front plate

in new jersey, there is a statute which specifically exempts some cars (don't remember how far back but mid years are definitely included) from the need of a front plate.....i called NJDMV (or whatever they call themselves) and the lady was nice enough to send me a copy of the statute, which i carry in both cars if there's a problem

yeah, i ususally have my front plates on but not always
