Dumb Transmission question

What is the kickdown cable. Sorry for the stupidity. My th400 doesn't have one. There is a bracket on the steering column at the fire wall and nothing is hocked up to it. am I missing something? Please explain. Thanks

TH400 does not use a kickdown cable, that is only for the TH350. The 400 is electric, has switch at the top of the gas peddle linkage under the dash, at engages at WOT.

I would guess that the bracket on the steering column is for the interlock that locks the streering wheel when the key is removed and the trans is in Park.
