Eckler "Lowest Price Guarantee"....NOT!

This a bad experience I had with Eckler corvette parts. I live where they are and the other day I was pricing some Flowmaster mufflers for my car online and I found them in CA for half the price Eckler wanted. I called Eckler because of thier "No Hassle Guarantee". Check out the link to thier site below to see what it says. Anyway, they have a "price match" guarantee "ya right" and I thought I'd just go down and pick up the mufflers instead of waiting for delivery. I told them of the price from the other seller, gave them the web site to verify the price, jumped through ALL the whoops Eckler requires and they say "NO, we won't sell at that price. We will sell them for 10% over our cost". I in turn said "well, thats not what your guarantee states". We went back and fourth over this and the end result was Eckler said "NO" and I bought from the place in CA. I did however report them to the Better Business Bureau and to the local Fraud agency with all the info. They have contacted me back and stated something will be done SOON. I will avoid at all cost doing any business with them again.

Probably because this forum has to do with 1997-2004 Corvette related topics only. You started the same thread in the Aftermarket Products discussion forum about this same topic. That forum is more suitable than this forum is.

When I came across this thread last week, I almost moved it to the Aftermarket Product Review forum until I realized you had already posted there, and were receiving responses to that thread.

I did a forum search under the topic "Eckler" and came up with 58 threads which mention the company.

Some have had good experiences with them, some not so good. I myself have never purchased from Ecklers, so I don't have any basis for comment.

I read several dissatisfied posts on http://forums.corvetteforum.com last week due to other issues. I posted your comments on that forum also. I think there are enough forum members to put some pressure on these idots to live up to their word. If they have any smarts they monitor these forums and will address the complaints we post.

actually, I had a GREAT experience just yesterday when ordering my Corsa Indy and Bassani x-pipe....they sold me both at less than dealer cost....better than anywhere else retail or on the web that I've beena ble to find for both!!!
No problems ---- courteous and helpful throughout the process!!!
