EGR crimp ring tool

Hi all, anybody know where to locate the tool required for crimping the ring on the egr exhaust tube? Ordered the tube... its been back ordered...still cant find the new sensor...the only thing I have is the new crimp ring and no tool for crimping it! Hopefully when all the parts are here, it's a simple install.

Hi Paddywhack, They say it's an easy install as the replacement is held on by velcro. I guess it just wraps around the tube. Please let me know if this is the case. Roger.

I used long handled side cuts to crimp the EGR tube ring on the one I did.

Hi Roger, I'm talking about the tube itself and the crimp ring holding on to the exhaust manifold. Searching old posts, I understand most of the tubes were bolted on, with some attached with a crimp ring, Thats the style I have.

Cad Tech, how did it seal? Any leaks using the side cuts?

There were no leaks. It took a little work getting it crimped. You will need someone else to help hold the ring in place when you crimp it.
