egr problem

I have egr code.I have cleaned out passage in intake checked vaccum to solionid and vaccum from soilonid all good and put vaccum to egr and it holds vaccum on data stream vaccum is commanding egr according to engine load.Anyone know why i still get code after driving on hiway stady for a couple of minutes because i know that how long it takes to set the code will not set in city.

HI there,
What you may be experiencing is a shorted to open diagnostic temperature switch. This switch, normally open, will close when the temperature gets above a certain temp. This happens when the EGR opens, and let the exhaust gas through the tube, to the intake.
I would suspect the switch, as there have been many replaced for this condition.
