The engine in my 88 dies while decellerating to a stop after driving about 15 miles or 20 minutes. Up to that point no problems at all. Idle drops to 2-3oo rpm and then quits. Starts right back up, but I have to feather the throttle to keep it running.
Car has only 14,500 miles and had been stored for extended periods by previous owner. I have changed the cap, rotor, plugs, wires, pcv valve, etc just because of the age. (All were original) I am going to check the fuel pressure next and ohm out the injectors.
I've read alot about EGR valves hanging up in posts by Grump. Seems to fit some of the symptoms.
Any other ideas?
Thanks
