I am thinking about getting a new exhaust system something with a little more rumble yet i dont want to give my self a headache when driving.can u guys recomend something that fits the scenario ... I guess sort of middle of the road type system moderately priced .... thanks for your help

I have Borlas, they sound great from the outside, but are noisy from the inside.
I had to put 2 layers of Dynomat sound deadener under the rear hatch carpet.
If I were to do it again, I'd try Corsas, I hear they have less resonance inside.

I highly recommend Performance Peddler for the MagnaFlo mufflers. The cost is about $360 (includes shipping), if you mention you are a forum member, which is about a $100 savings. Do not buy off his Ebay auction, as the discount cannot be applied. Mufflers are high quality polished stainless steel. Most shops will weld these mufflers for $50 to $100, or you can do it your self by cutting and clamping using the hardware provided. Sound is super, louder than stock, with zero interior resonance

I love my Corsas. Highly recommend! Guy

I love my corsas also!!

Corsas are more expensive but I think they are worth it!!
Goodl luck on your choice,

I'm looking to get the Corsa pkg. for my '93. But just for kicks, go to www.mamotorworks.com/corvette Do a search by this part #: 614-948 and take a listen to the SLP Cat Back Exhaust!!! Pretty cool. :w

Magnaflow without a doubt as I have had Corsa, Borla, and even Flowmaster. Magnaflow had the best price, seemed to be the biggest gain in h.p. , nicest fit on install and best of all it was quiet while in 6th gear. Go to their website and you can hear some of the soundbites. Just my opinion others will vary.

I went with the Corsa's, nice and quiet at cruise speed, nice wail at hard acceleration. Looks good, easy install, but they are certainly pricey. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat.

What you will have to do is go listen to cars with various systems to find what you like. That is the ONLY way to get one that sounds good to YOU and is loud enough or quiet enough for your own personal taste.

All you accomplish on a forum like this with such a question is that you get a survey of what other members have.

I would tell you what I like, but all that would accomplish is addition to the survey.

When I was looking for an exhaust for another car brand, some of the vendors had sound files on their websites. You might try to find some of the sites for these vendors and see if they have such things.

Best of luck,

I agree with what he said up to a point check out other peoples set ups but the computer thing ain't going to do it. On most of these systems mentioned there is interior resonance especially on automatic cars.

Another Option

If I had the money I would have the Corsa. Having said that what I did do was have a muffler shop remove the resonator. The car has a niece rumble without turning heads two blocks away. It sounds good under throttle but the cabin is stock silent at cruise. As for resonance I do have a little at 75 so run 73 or 77 no problem. I didn't even use a crossover. Straight pipe only.
Cost at the shop I went to was $80.00 :beer

I agree with John, try your stock exhaust sans resonator.
I have Long tubes and I had to remove the resonator to fit my high flow cats. My car has a little rumble at idle and sounds great at WOT without interior resonance.
