I had an underbody chambered exhaust system when I purchased my 1967 in 2003. It was much too loud for me so I had a local Midas Muffler shop put on some of their Turbo mufflers in 2004. Now it is much too quiet.
They left the chambered exhaust pipes on and installed the Turbo mufflers at the rear. The rationale was that the chambered pipes are open. I must say that that this made sense to me at the time and saved me a few dollars. And the car has run fine. But something bothers me about this. Is there too much back pressure? 327/300.
I am think of a full system install with a little Corvette noise, not Police style. Any recomendations?
Would love to find something like Joe Lucia describes on the NCRS Board and says is no longer available.
