I was wondering what kind of grind people tend to get on their cams? Also what comapny do you get them from?

Thanks in advance.

now that I'm older and more mature, I prefer a Torque Grind with a longer stroke; nothin beats a good set of heads anyday. In my youth I prefered the high revvin 302.
I have used Isky, Crane, Engle and Edelbrock all with good sucess. If you call the cam grinder and be 100% honest with what you have and what you want he will give you what you need.

WTF is this supposed to mean??? This isn't helpful to anyone.

Anyway, to the original post, I went with an overall balance (torque, hp, emissions, idle, etc) by going with the LPE 74219 cam. I have TPIS/AFR heads, modified TPI intake (with Accel Superram manifold).

Bradvette, I think Oldace was agreeing that it is an excellent question and he is also curious.

As for favored Grind, the best one is one that matches all the pieces in your combo.
I planned out my motor with everythign in mind. If I were to do it again I would use Cam Motion and have a custom grind done specifically for my motor.

Hi,:)
I like the 1024/768 rather than the 640/480...the higher the pixels the better the resoulition ...Am i right?...the larger file sizes have more problems sending posting etc, etc ,etc and emailing them too..."webcams" are the worst for sending video emails and taking mear still photographs, all in all a tripod works best for "digital images"..although from what I've been told about and looked at
The throw away digital CAMS seem to be cool and take very nice pics for the budget,,,

I hope this silly reply was taken as it was intended,;LOL
Cams arent really my area of expertise, "arent those the little doohickies under the watchamacallit, behind the front wheels, close to that one place where you check the oil to see if its red or not???..And beat that one little paper thing on the ground to clean it???:)

I just spit up my coffee ;LOL your posts are always good for a laugh ;LOL Keep em coming:w

I do prefer to grind my own coffee; the darker the better, with Irish cream creamer.

As for Cam Grinders what engine do you want a cam ground for? and what do you want to achive? How much money do you want to spend ? do you want something that has a nasty 1200 rpm idle and spins to 8000 or something in the sleeper catagory (my choice).
As I said before pick one call their tech line and Be Honest with what you Have and what you want to achive. Far too many people put in too much cam and then are dissapointed in the results.

Check with Iskenderian cams they have some excellent choices for the street or race
