Did you put your [super comp headers] in yourself? If so how hard was it to get thos big manifolds outta there?
As for getting the old manifolds off...I didn't do it. My mechanic did. I figure it was somewhat difficult as the bolts we seized in the manifolds. I'm not really sure how difficult it was. I know I salvaged all I could though and got a pretty penny for 'em on eBay!

Putting up the new headers isn't that difficult. It definitely helps to have two people though. One person underneath and the other up top. They need to be installed from the bottom up. The person on the bottom holds 'em up while the person up top starts a couple of the bolts to hold 'em in place. I gave a decent rundown of the install in the link above in my post #21. Or just look for my thread titled "new Headers and H-Pipe installed". Oh hell, or just click here!

Hey Evo, thanks for the pics, sorry to keep bugging you, but that's exacty what I wanted to see.

Tepot, I'll especially be interested in hearing what you think because I've also got headers into true dual exhaust with no cats. If possible can you post a pic once the job is done?

Ok, sorry for the wait. I've told you that I would post some pictures for you. I don't have the sound clip yet. I'm waiting for my sister digital cam corder.

Ok. So when I first installed the flowmasters 40 series I wasn't too impressed with the sound. Not that it doesn't sound good but I thought it would've been louder. it's been over 2 weeks now and I think they were right when they said it would sound better when they are HOT.

I'm actually loving the sound of the flowmasters 40 series now. It's got a nice rumble at Idle and when I drive I can barely ear them. I've got headers, dual exaust and No CATs. When I floor it, it sounds good but don't worry it won't be anoying cause I'm telling you. I can barely ear them while I'm driving. So if you want noise. Don't go with flowmasters 50 series cause it won't be loud. And if you want very loud. Go with glasspacks cause these flowmasters 40's sounds great but are far from being as loud like glasspacks.

I'm pretty sure that if you have a rough idle cam in you engine it will sound a little bit better as well.

So over all I'm kinda satified with the sound cause I do alot of driving and I guess if it would be louder it would probably get anoying after a while.

Here's the pictures I've promised you. they fit right nice under the car. When you are standing up you can't see them.
