fluids change

Hi!
I bought C4-LT1, 1995 with 16000 miles. I was change engine oil and filter. Do I have to change gear lever oil and other fluids?

I bought my 95' w/17k miles in January. I had the coolant, oil, trans and diff fluid changed at 18k miles to have a fresh start. When flushing the coolant, we found some rust in the system. My mechanic said it was because the car has low miles and it sits. I also needed the trans and diff fluids serviced. I used Redline in all cases.
