Fresh paint under exh manifold, Question??

I just finished painting my engine and ready to bolt on the exhaust manifolds. Would it hurt to leave the paint on the heads where the exhaust manifold contacts the heads?? Or, should I get all the paint off?? I can't see how the paint will hurt anything... Thanks, Kurt

In order to get the best possible mating surface between the manifolds and the heads, I'd remove it. However, if it's just a very thin overspray (for example), you may be fine.
