Help! fuel pump

just replaced fuel pump relay and pump I put in relay first and started it all fine `next put in pump turn on ing and hear pump come on for about 2 sec. but when I crank it no fuel anyone know what is going on

Hook a test light to the TACH terminal on the distributor- it should blink when you crank, that tells you the system is seeing distributor reference pulses.
Another thing to look at would be the oil pressure switch, but the fuel pump is supposed to run for 10 seconds when you turn the ignition on to prime the system.

bad pump

thanks for the help but solved problem old pump had a plug on wires new pump had terminals cut off plug put ends on wires put + and- on same way as old pump but + and- were reversed switched wires on terminals and problem solved Thanks For Help. JOE
