Fuse Box

I want to replace the wires on my 81. I want to replace them from the fuse box .Can anyone tell me if there is a good book I can get to help with this. I have the AIM but it does not show any good pictures of how the wires are attached to the box. Also, does anyone know of a good vendor to get 81 wire harness from? Thanks for any help.

I would go with a complete new wiring harness! I've taken all the wiring harnesses out and that alone is one hell of a job. Your fuse box are two pieces, your interior side and the engine side. All the interior wires go in the fuse box in between the two parts. IMO if your going to replace all the wires I think there is no way to do a clean job because you can't replace them till inside the connectors.
New one's are expensive but you'll have a clean and nice wiring harness.
