Gas and oil treatments?

I've used Techron in the gas tank. Had no problems! Keep Mobile 1 in the crank case. Never had to add anything.

I copied this from another thread :
"With '85-88 Bosch injectors, do not use cleaning additives in the gas tank. Fuel-system cleaners are not recommended, by GM, because of the kinds of materials used in the fuel tank bladder, fuel O-rings, and fuel line hoses. If cleaning is required, use the GM specified procedure. On the other hand, Multec injectors, in the '89-01 models, do not need cleaning, and doing so could damage them."

Hope this helps.

If GM put that in the manual it was to protect them against having to do warranty work after someone used those kind of products in their car. Remember nobody has the thousands of hours of testing and product development that the manufacture has. If after all those hours they say don't do something I would tend to believe it was written in stone.

After sitting in a few tech seminars with c4c5 specialist, the only additives to use in the gas tank would be chevron techron. Nothing to be used with the oil.

I agree 100%.
