Question: Gas Cap

I have a locking gas cap that is for a 92 Cadillac Deville. If it fits, can I use it, or does the Vette need a special gas cap?

The only problem you could have is when the EVAP system does a cannister purge, the vacuum gets routed THROUGH the cannister, and THROUGH the cannister-to-tank vacuum line. If the cap does not properly seal, you'll get an EVAP system code for vacuum not holding after xx:xx minutes/seconds (DTC POxxxx), or on an L98, an EGR fault (DTC 32).
