Gas Pedal Differences

I am trying to figure something out for my son. He needs to know if there are any differences in the gas pedal assemblies from the 68-82. If so can you help me with the differences. We know for the most part they are essentially the same but are there any differences that would keep you from mounting an 82 pedal in a 68 or vice versa.

well my 69 with 4 spd has a "full" pedal with SS trim. The 72 automatic has the little pedal, no SS trim. The 75 L82 4 spd has the same as the 72.

Gary is correct, the gas pedal shape changed sometime during the '72MY. I believe it stayed the same from L72 until end of C3 production.

Brake and clutch pedals changed in '79.
