I purchased a "supposedly" made in the USA, "GM official Licensed product" gas tank sending unit for my 1965 vette. When I installed it in the tank and put the retainer on I didn't have enough room to install my original wiring harness with the waterproof rubber terminal covers over the S and I terminals on the sending unit. Has anyone else had this problem? I have installed my original sending unit in my old tank and in my new correct repro tank with no problems, however my original unit finally died and I had to get a new one.
I have to purchase another sending unit, who has the best one that will install,connect and work correctly? Thanks in advance for any and all information.
