Gear indicator on A4 shift boot...

...broke. :confused I am talking about the little red indicator needle that that shows what gear you are in. Now, it does not affect the drivability of the car...but, how do I get to it to fix it? hnoes Does anyone have the procedure to be followed to access this part? I thought I would ask before I start pulling things apart only to find out that there was an easier way...thanks in advance.
