How do you tell if a recall has been done? Is it on record at GM? Is it online? Did they even have computers in 84?

LOL! Believe it or not, we even had color t.v's back then. Gotta admit though, most of us were still using vcr's and casette tapes. Geez I'm old. I remember getting all excited when I recieved an eight track player for my old beater as a graduation gift. Geez, now I'm really depressed.

Barely! GM dealers were using microfiche at parts counter. Dot matrix printers were high tech.
Thats why the LCD dash was so cool!
We had one color Tandy computers in High School...I do remember playing "Risk" on a friends Apple in black and white with "windows"! And that was COOL!
In college (87) I has to use "wordstar" on an IBM and that was considered advanced!
