I'm currently looking into buying a GM performance crate engine, the 350 HO. I stumbled upon their hot cam kit and was wondering what type of performance increases I would get from it and for any one who has this crate engine in their corvette, how pleased are you with it? One more thing, for instalation in my 1980 vette with the 4-speed manual tranny, what flywheel do I need to make it work? Thanks in advance for any input!

You can check the GM Performance Catalogs to see the differences in power at the crank. As for the flywheel question, I don't know. Someone here should be able to answer that. Or, simply call a vendor, such as Scoggins-Dickey. Let them know you are interested in an engine and what you would need as far as flywheel or anything else goes.
