Hi

I am aware that the dealers sell the little paint jars with the brush, but where can l buy Torch Red in a spray can? Looking to spray paint splash guards and other aftermarket items that only come in black.

Thanks

Alan

Find a local auto body supply store\jobber and they can mix it for you, if you don't have a spray gun some will even put it in a spray can for you.

Heres your answer...Walmart sells GM paint in the touchup tube and also cans of spray paint in Torch Red and the prices compared to a dealership are fair:w

I didn't know the dealerships carried spray cans?

Thanks
Alan

a bunch of good information...for example, i didn't know that a jobber could fill an aerosol can...makes sense

...because i didn't know better, i started spraying small parts myself with an inexpensive gun and started by following the jobber's recommendations about which reducer to use (based on his recommendation of which paint family to use)

...i bought a "jamb gun" which you can get at car shows or places like harbor freight (the last one i bought cost me $20, i bought it as a back up and have never had to use it in 5 years)...this way, when i get another "bright idea", i just mix up a batch and shoot my latest creation....a pint of pigment has lasted me a long, long time but making sure that it's mixed properly has been my only concern...so, what do i do? I buy the harbor freight pneumatic paint mixer when it was on sale for $99...for what i do and the results i've gotten, i think it was a very useful investment...

....aerosol cans, huh? very good tip :m

Ya know you might get lucky and find some Fire Engine Red paint down at the hardware store. :rotfl

Dwayne - so you're still aggravating people about the color of their cars - shame on you.:nono

As for my color - I just use any brand of primer. Usually matches perfectly:L

Remo:cool

I have a bottle for my black that I got from the dealer that is suppose to match my paint...it really does not. I've tried several thing to match it as close as possible, but it is not the same as the original as they say. :eyerole

Dealerships may not carry them...but GM makes them and WalMart has them:)
