Does the '06 vette require the CANdi module to be used with the tech 2 to perform diagnostics?

I've heard others on the forums saying that you need to make sure any code scanner you get is CAN enabled :confused

Hi there,
For certain systems, the Candi module is needed.
From other systems, you dont always need the Candi module.
Class 2 data lists are available with the Tech 2 alone and this means that the door control modules, seats, HVAC, air bag systems, cluster, radio, onstar and minor subsystems can be accessed without the Candi module.
Major systems, PCM, TCM, ABS, are all viewed in LAN protocol and therefore require the Candi
