1966,and a 1962 thats almost complete
I am building a custom 1962 corvette and I am using the rack out of a C4 and the Gm power steering pump as noted above.I am also using a Billet remote resivour.
I need some type of a diagram showing me how this is supposed to work.

I really need to understand how system works so I can better under stand how to route the lines.

Thanks again.

From my signature picture you can link to my web site to see what I am building under project 62

Larry, I used a similar setup on my Grand Sport. The high-pressure line from the pump goes directly to the rack, then the low-pressure return line goes from the rack to the reservoir, then a line from the reservoir back to the low-pressure inlet on the pump. In the photo below you can see the (blue) high-pressure line from the pump to the rack, and the reservoir is on the far-side inner fender. After this photo was taken I added a tube-and-fin cooler in the return line, mounted to the top radiator mounting plate, between the rack and the reservoir.

Found it - here's a photo (taken by the new owner after I sold the car and he changed some things) that shows the mounting of the power steering cooler:

Thanks John

its pretty obvious what is the high pressure on the pum,But how do I tell whats the high pressure off the rack. Also my resivour has a -06 an fitting off the bottom that has a dip tupe that goes 3/4 up the inside of the tank and then it has a -10 an fitting that just comes off the bottom with one is considered the pressure side?

Thanks Again for your help.

You know I always say its the details that seperates a spectacular car from an average car.the secound picture you have posted seems as though some one took some of your details out of the car you built.

Is this the same guy who put the heat sheilds on the side pipes?

Larry, I built the car ten years ago and used an Appleton sprint car power rack and a GM S-10 truck pump, and I'm not familiar with the C4 rack plumbing. If I recall correctly, my high-pressure line from the pump to the rack was #8AN or #10AN, and the return line was #6AN. My reservoir was horizontal, and both the inlet and outlet fittings were #6AN, and it had internal baffles at the inlet to minimize foaming.

Thanks again John I am going to have to make some phone calls today to see what I can figure out.

I would say this converting pipe sizes and hose is very frustraing as the local hose builders all say bring in your old hose and we will copy it.

The engine bay in the top photo is spectacular,

Thanks! Yup, the guy I sold it to added the goofy heat shields over the sidepipes, bigger wheels and rubber-band tires, a bunch of sloppy stuff under the hood, and a $10K stereo (who needs a stereo with 4" open sidepipes?) :eyerole

John would you happen to recall what year S10 has a remote pump, my 1st generation 93 doesnt have one and I would like to use a remote on my 76 Vette.
Thanks
Craig sr.
