In celebration of GM's 100th Anniversary, GM Asia-Pacific has unveiled the Corvette S-Limited, a 30-car special for the Japanese market. Priced at ¥7,980,000. The allotment is split evenly by color -- 15 in Arctic White and 15 in Black. All the cars get the full leather-wrapped interior package; a rear spoiler, mesh grillework , and screened inserts for the side coves and the plate between the exhaust outlets.

The Corvette S-Limited officially goes on sale on the Fourth of July.

Is it a stock Corvette except for the things mentioned? The shadows give it a different look.;shrug

It looks to me like the picture was taken up close using a wide angle lens.

You think if I asked nicely, Chevrolet would build me my very own special edition Corvette? I mean, we've got the Corvette Competition for Europe, the Indy Pace Car's (for the last 5 years), 427 Z06's, and now the Corvette S, for Japan...

I want one too!

Being for japan do you think they took out the V8 and replaced it with a 4 cyl. turbo with a buzz can muffler?

It looks like it is left hand drive?
Gallery pics show it being left-hand drive. The pic attached in Rob's post looks like an artist's rendering.
I like how they added a wing for the Japanese crowd. Gotta love those bolt-on mods! :L

Japan-Corvette

I just received information on a 1964 Export Corvette that spent 17 plus years in Japan. I am waiting for pictures of the speedo lens and the Jap markings on the engine block. Please forward to me any information you may on early model Corvettes exported around the world. Go to Export Corvette Photo History and see 134 pictures that cover the exports I have researched over the years.

It does have tuner wheels the 4 cylinder looking type!
