Has anyone purchased GMPP from Black Pontiac Cadillac in Ebensburg, PA?

Located them using Google for GMPP. Got quotes at least $1,000 less than my dealer in Illinois and they say you don't have to pay sales tax. Just wondered if anyone else had used them.

Thank,
Donna

I purchased a GMPP (Major Guard - 100k and 6yrs) for my Yukon (my winter driver in April 2000)(I know, I know - "what else can there be in Fairbanks Alaska other than winter driving" - well you'd be surprised).

Back to the story - I've contacted my local dealer and another from this website and was surprised to find out, unless a GM owner (my first chevy was purchased in 1972) renews the coverage PRIOR TO 3 months when the coverage is suppose to run out, another GMPP cannot be purchased.

Once again, GM shows why they are a corporation in need of an overhaul due to the fact of not meeting the needs of their customers.

Try this dealer !

Take a look at Fitchner. He seems to be helping a lot of people out with the GMPP. He is l believe a vender. He's a good guy and will answer any question gladly.

Keep in mind the the Major Guard does not cover anything that has to do with normal maint or wear.

Read what it covers first before you do anything.

Alan

Fitchner Chevrolet is the correct name

If you would like to purchase a GMPP give me a call for your Action Center price.
Yes A car has to be under warranty for you to purchase a GMPP. The reason is that Someone would buy a GMPP if something goes wrong with their vehicle.
I believe in an extended warranty with the High Tech of todays cars.
Dealers in most states can charge what they want for the warranty. Just like anything it is a profit center for a dealership. Some states set the price of every warranty and it cannot be changed. I know Florida does this. The State actually determined the retail of every warranty sold.
If you want a good warranty I will gladly try and help. Just make sure you tell me you saw it on the CAC.

Yes your GMPP works at any Gm dealer.

I live on the Westside, I used Garber Chevrolet in Green Cove Springs. There is a deaslership on Phillips Highway called Hamm's.

I found this out the hard way also. I attempted to renew / purchase an additional GMPP for my 1999 C5 (low miles - expired due to time). Since I didn't try to buy it three months BEFORE the GMPP expired (I tried one month prior to expiration) I could not buy it. I bought the car new and the GMPP.

GM did NOT notify me that I would have to buy the plan at least three months before expiration. You would think GM would pester its customers to buy an extension.

Maybe they didn't notify me since the car was repaired repeatedly for numerous defects under the new-car warranty and under the GMPP.........

Due to the corporation's bleak financial picture, maybe GM is trying to save postage by not mailing out notifications that our GMPP is about to expire. Bulk mailing rates vs. Major Guard profits????

Their 3-mos. before it expires business has always baffled me.. Doesn't seem to make any sense. What is the purpose of this goofiness?

The answer is quite simple !!!!!!!!!

The bean counters figured that if something went wrong in the last two months you would extend it for the purpose of being covered.
