While changing my T-Top weatherstripping the old little plastic things, just a couple fell into the top. Also when I had to drill the rivets on the trim one of those fell inside too. Now I'm scared of the rattles they will create. Any Ideas? the top seems to be completely sealed.

Reviving this one so maybe someone who has experienced this will see it.

One of my tops has something running around in it that I hear when I take the top on or off. However, I don't hear any rattling while I'm driving. I'd say try it and see if you have a problem first before you open things up.

I also have little things rattling around inside the T-Top. I have looked but have not found a way to get to them without major sugery. They only rattle when I take the tops on and off. While driving no problem. As a result it has dropped significantly on the priority list.

It would be interesting to see if there was an easy fix for this problem.

I know this is kinda late, I had to drill rivets on my T-tops and was wondering about the rattle after I restore them. After a little thought, I figured I would shake it around untill all the rivet heads settled near a hole and just shoot the hole with that expandable foam from any home improvement store. Havent doen it yet but I bet it'll work!

As of now I don't hear the rattles, but I'm sure they'll show up later

I'm not sure why, but my pass side top squeaks like hell but the drivers side is solid and quiet. I'm considering just taking it apart for some exploratory surgery. Drives me freakin nuts. Anyone been there?

In trying to adjust mine, I unscrewed the rod and lost it inside. I thought I would never get it out...like you said, it's totally sealed. But with much patience and determination, I managed to get it out by carefully turning the t-top in different directions.

You might also want to try using a magnet to fish it out.

Good luck!
