I am new to this forum, and new to the Corvette world. A gear head, GM guy, just tired of Wisconsin rust, wanting a fun older car that isn't full of cancer, my wife and I landed on a 1982 Collectors Edition.
Why this car? Both sporty and classy, last year of C3, first year of electronic fuel injection, and opening back glass! I love fast cars, but just wanted a cruiser. Not fast, but ok.
It runs ok, but needs to be better. I have been reading a ton about "cease-fire" injection. It seems as though it's like a Quadrajet; most hate it, but works great with special loving. Back in the day, I was a successful local quadrajet builder/tweeker. I enjoy a challenge, and am looking forward to debunking the fear and dislike of Crossfire injection.
Thank you all for all of the great information that I have been reading, and for a fun and well assembled forum.
I look forward to participating in the threads.
Regards, Newt
