Hey Guys and Gals,

After eight months of removing, replacing, and rebuilding (I pulled my engine and transmission last March), I finally reinstalled it, and then got it started last weekend. After priming the gas line and oil pump, she started right up!

I ran her with open headers -- wow, that was loud!... my wife said the dishes were rattling -- and small crowd gathered down the street to check out the commotion! I had the chamber exhaust installed yesterday, and the alignment is being done next.

This began as a 350/350 hp (stock) engine, but I am not sure how many horses it works out be with the rebuild. Here's some of the stuff that I've done so far....
  • Block bored .030 over, aligned/decked, balanced, 9.5:1 compressionKeith Black, high performance pistons
  • Edelbrock, Performer RPM 2.02 aluminum heads
  • Edelbrock, Performer RPM camshaft (.510 lift)
  • Edelbrock, Performer RPM dual plane intake
  • Edelbrock, 650 cfm AVS carb
  • Edelbrock, fuel pumpCNC Racing, roller tip rockers
  • CNC Racing, aluminum water pump
  • Crane, lifters and chrome moly pushrods
  • Muncie M-21 transmission - completely rebuilt
  • Hurst, Competition/Plus shifter (with Corvette handle)
  • Luk, clutch
  • VB&P, 500 lbs/in Gymkhana Coil Springs
  • VB&P, Steering Box
  • Bilstein, Shocks (Sport)
  • Original 1969 valve covers
  • Dynomax, ceramic coated headers
  • Mid America, aluminized chamber exhuast system
  • Optima, "Yellow Top" 750 CCA battery
  • All bushings replaced (polyurethane)
  • Rotors replaced (slotted)
  • Brake calipers replaced (Delco Morraine )
  • VB&P organic brake pads
  • Brake lines replaced (stainless steel )
  • Control arms replaced (stock)
  • Ball joints replaced
  • Heat shields repaced
  • ARP bolts
.... and still lots to do......

I'll post some pics when I get her back from the shop!
