Hard top storage

Looking for suggestions for storing hardtop for a 1996. Plans for homemade storage rack? or should i buy a cover and harness and suspend from the ceiling all help appreciated

Since I've had my glass top on, I keep my solid top stored. I've wrapped it with a blanket and set it against the side of the garage such that the seals are not touching the floor or wall. This seems to be working fine. I make sure it's very clean first.

I figure the important part is that the seals must not be allowed to sit against anything, or they'll get flattened and deformed.

I just received a hardtop winch for Christmas, and plan to use that as a storage device once installed into the rafters of the garage. If you choose this route, just be sure that the winch is intended for storage, as not all of them are. Prior to the winch, I have stored the hardtop in 2 different ways over the past 3 years: propped on a spare sleeper-sofa in a guest bedroom, and resting on 2 crib matresses that we no longer use. Both ways were fine, but required 2 people to lift/move the top. :duh
