has anyone upgraded their cam in their c6

I spoke to comp cams today cause i am lookin to gain about 50 hp and maybe a few more rpm 's out of my ls2 that and i am poor after doing all stage 1 mods so they said to go with this cam part # 54-428-11 intake 571 exhaust 573 and duration on intake is 228 and exhaust is 230 with lobe space of 112 has anyone put a custom cam in or had one ground yet ?

I have the L.G.Motorsports X-3 cam in my C-6...Its specs. are very similar to the ones you gave...The only problem I had was it idle at 900 rpm just to keep it running...I fixed the problem my installing a torque converter with 2800 stall speed...now it is much more manageable and also quicker out of the hole which equals faster times...
I drive my C6 everyday mostly city driving and my gas mileage now is 14.5ish
It has a great sound at idle...

I have basically the same cam. You'll also need additional tuning. Most of the power with this cam is made from 5500-7000rpm. My numbers do not reflect my intake or rockers, I need to redyno her. My additional .035" of I/E lift are from the rockers. Identical cam spec. as the one you are contemplating.
