1982 collectors edition
Can anyone please help.
REVISED POST..................................REVISED POST
I am replacing the vacuum lines on my 1982 collector edition with AC.
I have a problem with one line.
The brown or tan(witchever)goes behind the ducts between the inside of the firewall.
Reaching in from the passanger side I can get my hand between the small opening but not to
the end of the line. Can anyone tell me if and how I can replace that line without ripping
something apart?

I can't help you specifically, because I have a 1970.

But what I can say is that most of the vaccume lines that go from the engine compartment through the firewall terminate behind the dash (at the drivers guages, or at the heater box behind the passenger dah), or at the climate control assembly.

if you are replaing vaccume hoses, you will proabably need to get access to all three of those locations by disassembling the dash.

I'm not speciffically sure who the 1982 works, but It's probably not to different then mine.

An assembly manual will help you a ton. . .get on if you don't have one.

Bolisk,
Thanks, but I know where the line is, my question is can it be replaced without tearing the dash apart?

so are you trying to replace whats there or did you vacuum lines go bad???
you MIGHT be able to get away with taking the console apart and pulling out the glove box...
not sure though!!!!
