Man alive that's a good collection of vettes! Just curious, how popular are corvettes in Turkey? Are they hard to get? Are the prices similar to US prices? Again, Welcome & congrats on your vettes!

That's really impressive.

Welcome to the CAC!!

When can you post some more pictures? I'd love to see the museum you're starting!

Hello Don,

Corvettes are popular but extremely difficult to obtain due to the incredible tax rates we have. We are also the champions of the world in gas prices - it was on the news yesterday. I hope you are sitting, it is $ 10.21 to the gallon.

To own one, you are looking at astronomic prices mainly caused by the import duties and further taxes - if you were to import a corvette now, you need to pay 200% tax. Plus of course you have to add the car making corvette ownership in Turkey 3 times more expensive than the US. So this fact naturally inflates the prices of cars already existing in the country.

See below an outrageous ad for a 68 and there is nothing special about the car:

I like your 58 Bel Air too.

Very nice......you are what I would call "A true Corvette fanatic". Welcome aboard and have fun.

Welcome to CAC!!!
enjoy!!!!

I know I am slow with photos; my 62 fuelie; finally finished restoration. Took my first drive yesterday and making the list of bits not quite allright, like sticking indicator lever, exhaust hitting on bumps. I should be done with it by this w/e.
