Just started this on the way to work this morning.....

The oil temp gauge bounces between pegged and the actual temp, alot of times remaining pegged, but the digital readout reads correctly.

Is there a different sensor for the gauge as compared to the digital readout?

Does anyone know where the oil temp sensor is located so I can check for a loose wire or something?

Thanks...

Thanks for the reply.

I fixed it at lunch time. It didn't look like there was anything above the oil filter on mine, but I notced the oil level sensor (that plugs into the oil pan) connector was loose. I pushed it back in, and then tied up some wires under there that could have been contacting the cat. conv. and it seemed to have fixed it.

At least it's fixed now, so I don't have to watch my needle acting like Charro doing the cha cha anymore.
