Check the column mounting bolts under the dash. A flashlight will help because it can be dark up under there. Push the driver's seat back and out of the way as far as it will go.

75 stingray steering column issues

Thank you 6880 MIKE! U rock:beer i will try this this afternoon
Well i went to th garage last nite after a hot day @ work & i c that the issue of my loose steering is in the front part of the column down to the tilt. How do i get to this? Do i start to dissaemble th steering to get to the loose bolts so i can retighten them? Sorry im not to familiar with steering columns. More suggestions would b most helpful. Thank you again to 6880 mike!:)

Sounds like it's in the knuckle and the best at rebuilding them was Tom Reina at Corvette Steering. He passed away last January but Tony's corvette in MD bought all the column parts you can try calling him. Sorry I don't work on columns, that is why I didn't buy those parts but I did buy all the new gears for the boxes.
