I just installed a VBP suspension kit with front coils and rear composite spring on the 65. Also replaced the control arm bushings, tie rod ends, ball joints and rebuilt the relay rod.

Problem is when I drive the car forward about 25' and stop both front wheels have obvious positive camber. When i drive the car backwards the 25' both front wheels have obvious negitive camber. It makes no noises like something is shifting, quiet as a mouse. I measured to see if the left wheel was shifting in the wheel well opening and does not apppear to be. Any ideas? This thing is driving me nuts!!!

Unless it's just tire distortion from excessive toe-in, there should be NO camber change at all. If you really do have camber change (at the wheel, not just at the tire sidewalls), something critical is loose - upper or lower control arm bushings and/or cross shafts, upper or lower ball joints, or wheel bearings - nothing else affects camber.

Thanks for the reply John. I think we found it. The front toe was actually towed out. Not a super amount but certainly enough to see by eye. I adjusted the toe by eye to just a smidgen toed in and the camber does not appear to be changing now. I could not find anything shifting. I used rubber control arm bushing as recommended by some on the forum. It appears the toe out was enough to load the suspension and walk the wheels out when pulling forward. That one sure fooled me! I will get a real alignment next week.
