as i mentioned in one of my last posts, i had the head gasket go, and had to replace it as well as the heads cause they were cracked extreamly bad...

well i got that back a while back, and it was running rough. after some investigations, i realized it was burning the plug wires up. changed those to live wires from ecklers which are rated for 1400 degrees. they are working but it looks like they are starting to deteriorate. thats problem 1.

number 2 is that i noticed i had really low oil pressure when i accelerated on the 3rd day of driving it. apon inspection, i realized it was now burning oil REALLY badly.. at first i figured rings are gone due to the rebuild top end, but its NOT putting out any smoke???

the odd time i get a check engine light and the code is for the egr valve, could this be the source of my oil problem??

im getting to the point where im not sure if ill get to even enjoy it much more this summer, especially if i have to rebuild my lower end...

any and ALL help is appreciated and REALLY needed...

what kind of shape is your pcv valve in ?
What kind of seals were used on the valve guides ?

How low is your oil pressure ?
What type of oil are you using?
How many miles on the bottom end ?

No, the EGR should not be causing your oil problems.

the pcv valve was in ruff condition, but a friend/mechanic used some sealer on it, but its not the best.

not sure what seals were used, but a reputable machinest put it together.

oil pressure is good when driving but drops at idle and on hard acceleration.

as i just bout the car last august, not sure how many miles on bottom end, but it wouldnt surprise me if it the origianl 200k....
on the other hand, when doing the top, it looks like that engine has been apart in its day.
