I was redoing the plug wires and managed to break off the vacuum T that is just inboard of the power break booster; the one with the two large connectors and the one small. I have done some research and it looks like it is the "A/C Heater Vaccum T with miniature nipple".

I found it at Doc Rebuild but he requires a $20 minimum but can't locate it anywehre else. Anybody know where I can find it?

Have you checked with the General? GM Parts Dept has always been good to me, especially for the little odd bits like this. I tried searching up the part on the GM Restoration Parts website but I find it almost impossible to negotiate. What a useless website!!

I like to browse the vac fitting areas of Pep Boy's and Advance auto parts. O-Reily's has a decent selection too. You may not be able to find a factory original replacement but you might find a part that will provide a workable solution for just a couple of bucks. I haven't seen much in the way of fittings at the local NAPA store but they probably vary.

good luck

Pep Boys is right around the corner from work. Maybe I'll get a chance to go check them out tonight. If all three of the legs were same size I suspect this would be fairly simple. That one miniature leg is going to be the problem.

I know what you mean.
I'm sure I've seen stuff like that around at different stores though...
good luck with it

bob.... try Just Corvette's. 800-886-8388. They found a couple odd-ball parts for me.

Thanks Nut. Sorry I didn't get back to you. Trying to get ready for vacation and am working 6:30 to 6:30 and the weekends. Hope to see you this weekend.

i agree with the local auto store. You can get a T with different sizes.

Finally found what I needed to put together a solution. NAPA had these adjustable T's where they "step up" to each of 3 sizes. This would have worked but the size I needed was in the middle and on the end and I didn't like the way it would have looked.

Pep Boys had a better selection. I found a 1/4" T and was able to find a piece of step down hose, basically a 3/4" inch long hose that was 1/4" on one end and 1/8" on the other. Got a two sided 1/8 barb and it's good to go. The 1/4" inch sides look like original, though it is really white and the adapted side has a small length of hose that blends right in.
