How do i fix my loose and floppin mirror glass..????

it's the driver side outside..it's loose and wobbles...(the glass part not the housing)

It may have broken partially off the trunnion on the back of the glass if it was fine before.
The design has always vibrated slightly especially on my 84 z51 due to rough ride. A "Mr Goodwrench" friend of mine told me that their SOP on cars under warranty was to stick a piece of cardboard behind it to steady it. By the time the cardboard rotted and the mirror vibrated again the car was out of warranty so either the customer didnt complain or they could rape him over the same "fix".:bash
