Hi everyone,

I have removied most of my old junk air conditioning unit and do not intend to replace it. How the heck do I remove the evaporator that is on the passenger side half way under the fender attached to the heater core? I can't hardly see it much less reach it. The old AC tubes run into it but I don't see anything bolting it to the car anywhere. Any ideas? It's driving me crazy.;help;help;help;help:bash

It's really pretty simple. The tubes running into the firewall (once the rubber lines are disconnected) are part of the evaporator. The evaporator is housed inside the fiberglass box that is bolted to the firewall. The box is two parts. You will see several bolts in the engine compartment that hold the box to the firewall. There are also 2 maybe 3 bolts that hold the box on from the inside of the car under the dash on the passenger side.

I recently moved and lost my website so I can't link any pictures to this post. If you PM me with your email address I'll forward you some pictures of what the area looks like with the cover removed.
