What is the trick for putting the screw in on the steering column on the right side whichs hold the direction signal straight?

Thanks,
Charles

If you mean the little phillips screw that tightens the "wedge" inside the bowl, the "wedge" scheme was only used through 1963, although the hole for it remained for a year or so afterwards. The turn signal bowl/housing is attached to the end of the column jacket tube by a steel retainer plate below the turn signal switch with three screws. :)

John,

I do not know if this will help...it 's a 64..there is a screw 1/4" top not phillips, that goes into the right side of the column I believe. It loosened up and I took it out and now you can twist the the turn signal bowl around abit just below the steering wheel.
