I have a 95 coupe with auto climate control. The problem is when set on auto and the temp set to 60 or any temp as far as that goes , I get hot air blowing in only for a few seconds then it goes back to cold and sometimes it is just warm air but it only last a few seconds then goes back to cold. I changed out the control module, the one inside the car with all the buttons and it still does the same thing. Had the A/C checked and it checked out fine. Last night I was going about 70MPH through a long right turn and the auto light started flashing and I got steady hot air.First and only time it has done that. Switched it to off then back to auto and it worked again with the intermittent warm spells. I ran the diagnostic by pressing the up down arrows and it came back 00 no faults. Any ideas would be helpful.

Need more information

Are you accelerating when it goes hot? On the 93 I know that a shut off switch is built into the AC system to disconnect the AC clutch under acceleration. That is to improve the performance of the car. If you could Tell us a little more about what you are doing when this happens perhaps we could help figure out the problem:confused

It does not do it when I accelerate but after I reach cruising speed. Does not matter if the cruise control is on or off it does it. If anything it seems during acceleration it never does it but only when the rpms are low then I will get intermitten hot then cold.I was thinking maybe a vacuum leak like its just not holding the damper door open constantly. If thats the case I'm not sure where to start looking.

I am not sure on your system if it throws a code if Freon is low. If freon is low the low side presure switch will kick out the compressor intermitantly. when the presure drops it kicks it out then the low side presure comes up and it kicks back in. If this is the case it should do it on a regular bases.

I just had the A/C checked a week ago and they did add some freon but said everything checked fine. Now just tonight on my way home the auto light started flashing and just warm air came out. I switched it to off and the off light kept flashing then after about a minute it stopped. Switched back to auto and it worked fine again. Tried the diagnostics and it came back with 00 which is no faults. Still stumped.
