Hello , found a leak in the rear brake crossover line , need help on removal ..lots of corrosion , and limited room ...there has to be an EASY way , and I'm sure this is where I will find it ;)

Thanks
Neal

Right now I'm toying with the idea of cutting the line at the nut ,so I can get a socket on it ...

you may have to run a new brake line.
otherwise you will probably have to lift the body off of the frame to get to it.:ugh

Use a line wrench and plenty of penetrating oil (you may have to let it soak for a while) if you can't get in there with the line wrench then i'm afraid bill is 100% correct.

Let's hope it doesn't come to that!!

I'd suggest not cutting the original line to remove it, if possible. I'm finishing up replacing all my brake lines now and having an original OEM part laying around as a template has been invaluable. The aftermarket parts that I've encountered have not been to any GM spec that I can recognize, so expect to do some garage floor modifications. That line that runs across the rear isn't too bad to remove and re-install. I would definitely invest in a good brakeline wrench. I went cheap first... $7 at PepBoys, but after almost stripping my first brake lines nut, I went and bought a $17 wrench from NAPA. Life is good, expensive, but good....
