Very nice. I was coming back from lunch on a road that leads behind the local dealer here and saw a truck full of C6's. Looked to be 7 or 8 of them. I will be driving by on the way home from work today to check them out. :D

Parking.... hmmmm.... Well that is a good question. I am out of space. Everything I have is either in the shop, the garage or under cover. Hmmmmm - well, I haven't built anything on the other 1/2 acre! You know what that means!

I can have a new one, the 67 and 62 and lets not forget a 54!!!:_rock :crazy :t :dance

Great set of figures there, Dawn -

Don't think you would have any trouble getting a construction crew out there as well as consultants from the CAC idea bank if you do decide to break ground!

Great pic! Thanks for posting this one!

Called Bowling Green plant today and found out my Silver C6 is waiting to be loaded on a car carrier to Michigan!

Hope to have it within a week!

Zippy :) :)

What? No Blue?
I don't think they are making any Lemans Blues yet. If I have heard correctly there is some constraint on LeMans Blue

Stopped by the dealer on the way home. It seems they only got one car from the truck. :( They will be cleaning it up tomorrow to go into their showroom.

I stopped in to talk to the Corvette tech to schedule my column lock recall on the C5. Sitting outside his garage bays was the C6 to be prepared by detail tomorrow morning. I cut the converstation short so I could walk out and check out the car. He showed up 2 minutes later with the fob. :) So I got a chance to sit in the car.

First impressions is that I really like the interior. Seats are much more supportive than the C5 we have and the IP is very nice and easy to read. The aluminum accents on the dial really dress it up. It was a 6-speed and I was surprised how much a 10% reduction in throw made. Feels real nice. Center console door is much easier to open then C5. It seems there was nice attention to small details in the car.

What I didn't like originally was the bland dash and the steering wheel. I must say the interior looks much better in person and seem to better quality than C5. The silver plastic on the console is straight-up cheap plastic. If anyone saw Top Gear knock the interior plastics they weren't off at all. But you gotta do what you gotta do to keep the cost down. Personally it's fine with me.

The other item I didn't like was the steering wheel. I must say it looks better in person sitting behind the wheel. One thing that I appreciated sitting in the car was the fact that the wheel had defined spokes yet still fit a full air bag in the steering wheel. As technology progresses it will get smaller and look better. I think currently the steering wheel is in an awkward stage of getting smaller yet still thick enough that it looks odd if that make sense. I'll just leave this with it looks better than in the photos.

Final note, the car was Magnetic Red, no Z51, 6-speed, polished wheels, 1SC(?) with HUD. Total MSRP was ~$50k. Dealer tacked on some other charges included a "Fair Market Adjustment" to bring the total to ~$65k. :eyerole I don't think they will sell many at that price, though some will pay it because they don't know any better.

Overall, I really like the car and can't wait to see the vert. :)

. . . I'm glad I got my '04. . .65 K. . .NO THANKS. . . I'm still going to a private viewing tomorrow night. . .looking forward to it. . .I gotta see for myself.
